Mahindra Electric Pickup: A modular architecture serves as the foundation for the new family of Mahindra electric vehicles, which are predicted to have a driving range of more than 400 km.

Mahindra has a rather busy plate between clearing out the significant order backlogs for the XUV700. Making sure the recently released Scorpio N gets off to a smooth start and dealing with the chip shortage. However, a large corporation continues to actively engage in establishing its future strategy despite its busy daily schedule.

When the Indian UV expert introduced 5 new electric vehicles earlier this year, they entered a new era. Although Mahindra has been experimenting with electric vehicles for a while. The five new cars might be seen as the company’s first sincere effort to make an impact in the rapidly expanding global EV market.

The future design identity of the brand, which is being redesigned under Pratap Bose’s new leadership. Is introduced by these five new Mahindra electric vehicles. The cars have a global focus and were created by Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MADE).

Even though none of them are electric pickups, if it ever goes into production. The car will be built in India and eventually marketed on the domestic market. With North America being the main target due to the rapid growth of electric pickup trucks there.

The self-assured Mahindra electric pickup looks to have what it takes to compete head-to-head with the well-liked medium-sized pickups in the USA. To demonstrate authenticity, Mahindra has finally chosen to do away with the divisive seven-slot grille design that was inspired by Jeep. Furthermore, since they are electric vehicles, future Mahindras won’t need a big air intake area up front.

New design language

The truck has a striking road presence thanks to its distinctive LED lighting signature, new “M” badge, high ground clearance, off-road tyres, and conventional double-cab design. The interiors and features will probably resemble the more modern Mahindra BEVs.

These new Mahindra electric vehicles are probably going to benefit from the company’s recent alliance with Volkswagen, which enables the use of several essential components from the MEB electric platform from the German automaker. This action will maintain low development costs and a short lead time, providing Mahindra an advantage over rivals like Rivian R1T.

Mahindra is actively working on developing electric SUVs. The Mahindra XUV700 Electric is expected to be the first of the five to be released. At the 2023 Auto Expo in January of that year, these five new Mahindra electric SUVs are expected to make their Indian debut.
