Toyota Innova Hybrid: Innova Hycross will also have Toyota’s TNGA-C platform, FWD, and ADAS features in addition to the hybrid powertrain.

The Toyota Innova Hycross hybrid has been seen undergoing road tests both in India and abroad. It is expected to make its debut internationally in November. India’s debut will come after it in the first quarter of CY 2023. The third-generation Hycross will be sold alongside the current-generation Innova Crysta as long as there is considerable demand. After the debut of Hycross, probably, the current Innova Crysta will only be made available to fleet operators.

As seen in spy photos, the Innova Hycross hybrid receives some cosmetic improvements, including new alloy wheels. To give the hybrid model a unique profile, additional alterations are probably in order. In comparison to the Innova Crysta, Hycross is anticipated to have more space. There will be 7 and 8-seat arrangements available.

Innova Hycross will switch from a typical ladder-on-frame setup to a lightweight monocoque chassis as part of Toyota’s ongoing push to orient its vehicles to Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA). The powertrain must be modified as part of TNGA, which also applies to the Innova Hycross. For instance, Innova Hycross will switch from the RWD arrangement now used with Innova Crysta to an FWD setup.

The Innova Hycross is anticipated to have a wheelbase of 2,850 mm and measure roughly 4.7 meters in length. A wireless charger, sunroof, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto are expected for the inside.

Additionally, as a component of the Toyota Safety Sense platform, ADAS technologies might be added. It might have functions like dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assistance, road sign assistance, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

Given the decision to require six airbags starting in October of next year, the Innova Hycross hybrid may come standard with this feature on all models at the time of launch. In addition to ADAS, other safety features will include an emergency brake signal. Vehicle stability control, hill start assist control, front and rear parking sensors, and an anti-theft system.
