On Monday, oil prices for almost all edible oilseeds in Delhi continued to decline. Major edible oils like mustard, groundnut, soybean-oilseed, crude palm oil (CPO), palm olein, and cottonseed oil all ended the day down in price. Other oils and oilseeds stayed at their previous prices. According to sources familiar with the market, the Malaysia Exchange saw a loss of 0.5 per cent while the Chicago Exchange saw little movement.oil prices

Oil Prices – However, how are these oils being offered at various costs in retail?

Sources claim that the wholesale oil prices of imported edible oils (sunflower, soybean, and palm olein oil) at the port are almost the same. Sunflower oil costs Rs. 80 per litre at wholesale but is sold for Rs. 150 per litre in retail. Similarly, soybean oil prices Rs. 85 per litre at wholesale but is sold for Rs. 140 per litre in retail. At the port, palm olein oil costs roughly Rs 85 per litre at wholesale, while it costs Rs 105 per litre when purchased directly from the manufacturer.

The current retail price for premium rice bran oil is Rs 170 per litre, which is the price at which the previous maximum retail price (MRP) was reduced by Rs 20 per litre. The wholesale price for premium rice bran oil is Rs 85 per litre.oil prices
