The Gujarat Police Recruitment Board has released a notification to fill jail constable, constable, and sub-inspector positions. As stated in the official release dated March 12, 2024, interested applicants may apply online at ojas.gujarat.gov.in, the official website, for these positions.

1. Male Sub-Inspector of Unarmed Police (316 Posts)

2. Women’s Unarmed Police Sub-Inspector: 156 Posts

3. 4,422 posts for male unarmed police constables

4. 2,178 positions for women as unarmed police constables

5. 2,212 positions for male armed police constables

6. 1,090 posts for armed police constables (women)

7. 1,000 positions for men as Armed Police Constables (SRPF)

8. Male Jail Constable: 1,013 positions

9. 85 posts for a female jail constable

Age Range

Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 33 to be considered for Constable positions, whereas applicants must be at least 20 years old to be considered for Sub-Inspector positions. The maximum age limit will not change. Candidates from Other Backward Classes are eligible for a three-year age relaxation, while those from Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes are eligible for a five-year exemption.

Requirements for Education

Candidates for the Constable position must have earned a recognized board certification in Senior Secondary/10+2. Candidates must have graduated from an accredited university or board to be considered for the position of sub-inspector. The Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), written exam, and medical test are among the steps in the selection process. Each level must be completed by candidates to advance to the next.
