Digi Yatra App: No need for boarding pass, just show your face and board the flight, system will be like this

New Boarding Pass System: Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), the governing body of Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, one of the busiest airports in the country, on Monday announced the soft launch of the ‘Digi Yatra’ app. is about. With its support, passengers can now facilitate their travel by faster e-boarding through the airport.

Approximately 20,000 travelers participated in the app’s testing, which began on August 15 at Terminal 3 of the airport. At present, the benefit of this facility is available only on T-3, while the system on T-1 and T-2 will remain the same. For this facility, two flap gates have been kept for entry at the T-3 terminal, from where users of this app will be able to enter.

What is Digiyatra?

It is a face recognition system that will enable contactless, seamless travel of passengers at the airport. With this, passengers will be able to pass through various checkpoints without any contact, for which their identity will be linked to their boarding pass using their face. This process will take less than three seconds at each touchpoint. The passenger’s visage will serve as his identification, proof of immunization, and boarding pass in this facility.

How easy will the journey be

The entire process of DigiYatra will be paperless and contactless, in which now all the information related to the boarding pass of a passenger can be taken from his face.
Passengers will submit their biometrics and other identification details in this app itself.

How to download Digiyatra App?

This app’s beta version is now accessible on the Android operating system, but it will soon also be accessible on iOS. Domestic passengers departing from Terminal 3 can download the app to sign up for this seamless traDigiyatra Appvel experience. After downloading the app, the passenger has to enter his mobile number, Aadhar card, and a selfie, along with the scanned vaccine certificate and boarding pass.

For ID verification, a first-time traveler must stop by the airport’s registration kiosk. The passenger’s Aadhaar will be verified online, or if there is another ID, the CISF will verify it manually. After successful verification, passengers will be able to board with the help of their faces.
