Hyundai Motor India has sold a total of 51,263 vehicles in the month of May, which has improved its performance. In the same month last year, the company only sold 30,703 vehicles. At that time the company had to face a lot of problems due to Coronavirus. Last month, Hyundai sold 42,293 vehicles in India. Previously, in May 2021, the company was only able to sell 25,001 vehicles.
Hyundai India sold 8,970 vehicles overseas last month against 5,702 vehicles sold at the same time last month. Regarding these new sales figures, the company said that 2 plants in Chennai were closed for six days (16-21 May) due to maintenance and no production could take place during this period.

Mahindra sold thousands of vehicles in May.
Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has also seen tremendous sales in the month of May. In May, the company sold a total of 53,726 vehicles. The company sold 17,447 vehicles in the same month last year. The company said its passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market increased to 26,904 units last month from 8,004 units in the same month a year ago.
In May, the company’s passenger vehicle sales increased to 24,794 units. It stood at 7,508 in May 2021. According to the company, exports will increase to 2,028 in May 2022. In the same month last year, the company exported 1,935 vehicles. “We sold 26,632 SUVs in May,” said Vijay Nakra, Chairman, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra. All of our brands, including the XUV700 and Thar, performed admirably.
