Mahindra & Mahindra Upcoming EV: Mahindra & Mahindra plans to establish a foothold in the electric vehicle segment with the new model range. For this Mahindra & Mahindra will form a new EV subsidiary. Interestingly, British International Investment has already invested Rs. 1,925 crores in the organization (BII). The approved funds will be primarily used for developing and marketing the global electric SUV portfolio with advanced technologies.
Mahindra & Mahindra: The Mahindra XUV400 is believed to be an electric version of the XUV300 but will be longer.
Rajesh Jejurikar, executive director, auto and farm sector, M&M, while talking to a media outlet said that the company plans to lead the electric SUV segment. Its comprehensive product, technology, and platform strategy will be revealed at a UK event on 15 August 2022. Along with this, the carmaker will unveil three of its upcoming electric concept SUVs. They have also confirmed that the Mahindra Electric XUV400 will make its official debut in September 2022.
The Mahindra XUV400 is believed to be an electric version of the XUV300 but will be longer. According to reports, the length of the electric model will be 4.2 meters and it will have more boot space. However, its wheelbase will not change. The XUV400 electric SUV may also get ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) features. It can be designed on the MESMA (Mahindra Electric Scalable and Modular Architecture) platform.
In the market, it will face off against Tata Nexon EV. Its 312 km range has been approved by ARAI. At the same time, it is believed that the Mahindra XUV400 can also be offered with a range of around 300km. However, two battery packs can be given in this, in which the range of the smaller battery pack may be less.
