The federal government is running this plan. At the same time, through this scheme, financial assistance is provided to the farmers by the government every four months. Along with this, some rules and regulations have also been made by the government to get the money of PM farmers, so that the money does not go into the wrong hands. Through this scheme lakhs of farmers in the country are getting benefitted from the government.

Mantri Kisan Pradhan The central government established Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) to give farmers financial support. The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance from the government to small farmers and their families. Under this scheme, farmers are provided assistance of Rs 6000 in a year by the government. This amount is provided by the government to the farmers in three equal installments.

It has been told by the government that those who have cultivable land of more than 2 hectares, will not get the benefit of this scheme. In addition, serving or retired officers and employees of Central/State Government Ministries/Offices/Departments and its field units, Central or State Public Sector Undertakings and affiliated offices/autonomous institutions under the Government as well as regular appointments of local bodies. Employees also get benefits under the scheme. , are not eligible to receive.
