Mahindra, an Indian automaker, releases a new model every year on August 15; the same will take place this year as well. In response to the positive reception the Mahindra Scorpio-N SUV received from customers last year, the business is now developing a pickup version of it. On August 15, the Mahindra Scorpio-N pickup will be introduced. It is currently being transported to South Africa by Mahindra. The nation is one of the most significant markets for Mahindra and has been a presence since 1996. Mahindra will unveil a number of new vehicles at this event including the Z121 concept. This brand-new truck will be built on the Scorpio N platform. In 2025, the manufacturing version is anticipated to appear.
Design and Features
The wheelbase of the pickup variant will be longer than that of the Scorpio N SUV. There will be a large load bed provided. The Scorpio Classic, whose pickup version is marketed as the Gateway in India, was an example of the same.
It is marketed as “Pikup” in overseas markets like South Africa and Australia. The Mahindra Scorpio N pickup is anticipated to be available in both single-cab and double-cab body types when it is introduced in 2025. Additionally, normal and tray-back bed options will be available.
Mahindra Scorpio-N pickup in terms of powertrain
The pickup will have the same powertrain options as the Scorpio N SUV A 2.2-liter diesel engine and a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine are both available for the Scorpio N. The first has a maximum output of 200 HP and a maximum torque of 370 Nm (6MT). The torque output with 6AT is 380 Nm. There are two tuning options available for the diesel engine. One produces 300 Nm and 130 HP. The second option provides 370 Nm (6MT) and 172 HP. The 6AT produces 400 Nm of torque. The diesel model comes with a 4WD option.
