Toll rates increased on the Delhi Meerut Expressway from today

This information will be helpful to you if you drive your vehicle from Delhi to Meerut or along the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. Indeed, driving on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway and Eastern Peripheral Expressway will cost more starting on Monday, June 3. The Toll rates would rise by 5% according to the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).

The Toll rates is Rs 2.19 per km at the moment.

Four-wheelers and compact vehicles, such as automobiles and jeeps, would now have to pay a toll ranging from Rs 45 to Rs 160. In addition, the cost for large cars will vary based on the distance traveled, from Rs 40 to Rs 250. At present, the 135 km long expressway levies a toll of Rs 2.19 per kilometer by the NHAI. However, vehicles plying between Delhi-Ghaziabad do not have to pay any kind of toll.

Officials from the NHAI stated that the increased toll prices were scheduled to take effect on April 1. However, the Lok Sabha elections caused a delay in its implementation. Cars, jeeps, and other compact vehicles would now need to pay Rs 160 to go from Sarai Kale Khan to the Kashipur toll plaza, which is close to Meerut. Currently, the cost of this 82-kilometer journey is Rs 155. In addition, for a distance of 82 kilometers, minibusses, compact trucks, and cars transporting products will need to pay Rs 250.

the new toll for small vehicles will be Rs 110, and for large vehicles, Rs 175. From Meerut to Dundahera, compact cars will need to pay Rs 85 and big vehicles will have to pay Rs 140. Similarly, to travel from Meerut to Dasna, the toll will be Rs 70 for small vehicles and Rs 115 for big vehicles.
